VVCC Small Group Ministry

"Making disciples who deeply love Christ and others through life changing small group multiplication."

At VVCC, our goal is to reach out to a variety of individuals in our church and in our neighborhoods through connection, equip, home fellowship and ministry groups. Here is a brief overview of the types of groups we offer followed by a list of current groups. Please see our other ministry pages with the site below. Send any questions or comments to Pastor Ed Algya.

Ministry Groups
Some groups exist solely to serve others. People can commit to these groups on an intermittent, short or long-term basis. Being a part of the children's ministry team, the prayer team or the worship team are some examples, but for a comprehensive list, check out our Get Involved page!

Small Groups
These groups are also known as "home groups." They are long-term groups with the purpose of fellowship, care giving, voluntary character accountability, prayer and applicational bible study. Our vision for life change motivates the home fellowship groups. We promote them as a primary vehicle for long-term discipleship, fellowship and ministry. We offer a variety of groups for people of all ages and life stages.  Current list of Small Groups!

Connection Groups
Some short-term groups connect VVCC members with unbelievers and/or believers having similar backgrounds (teens, college students, young marrieds, single mothers, etc.) or interests (sports, hobbies, etc.).

Equip Groups
A variety of short-term topical Bible application groups serve to equip believers. Such groups may use a variety of curricula, and in the past have included studies for men, women or mixed groups on topics such as Godly living, discipleship, and finances.  Check out our Events page!

Support or Recovery Groups
Other short-term groups connect individuals who are recovering from difficult emotional or spiritual life experiences, such as recovery from divorce or physical abuse, substance abuse, abortion, sexual sins and other wrong choices.
